Bought my Grail 7 back in March and decided to convert to tubeless today. Front rim (DT Swiss Gravel LN) wouldn’t hold air and found that when I pumped enough that I could hear it coming from the seam in my rim. Pressing the outside of the rim would stop the flow. Anyone have this happen? Trying to see what to expect from Canyon’s warranty.

It’s not abnormal for alloy tubeless wheels to leak at the joint when tubeless when you’re initially setting them up. It may take a while, but usually the sealant should eventually seal leaks in the rim if you keep shaking and spinning the wheel.
Rim seam is not meant to be sealed. If you have air coming out the seam, it’s because it’s getting past your tubeless tape. It’s either not taped properly or the tape is too narrow. In rare cases, some tire/rim combos might need two layers of tape.
Solve it at the source, don’t try to seal the seam.
I remember reading that this is a common problem with the DT Swiss Endurance LN wheelset that the endurace uses, which should be similar. It should seal up after a while
This is normal, happened on my DT Swiss wheels. Sealant did the trick after a ride and no issues since.
I had the same experience when going tubeless on Gravel LN. One of the wheels had a pretty good seal at the seam even without sealant, the other didn’t. The sealant eventually stopped the leak.
I think I pumped it back up to high pressure a couple of times and did a couple of short rides (rides make sure the sealant goes around inside the tyre). During rides, I made sure I wasn’t too far from home because I could see a small amount of sealant at the seam.
It’s been 4 months now and the tire has held pressure without problems. I just had to believe in the process.
You don’t want to pressurise the rim, that could end with a bang. Tubeless tape should keep the pressure between the rim bed and tire, check that for leaks.
