Hi guys! Been wondering about new handlebar for my gravel bike and stuck between Ritchey Beacon and Salsa Woodchipper (had a Salsa Cowchipper, can recommend). Had anyone tried these two or just Ritchey Beacon, can you recommend it? I like the way Ritchey looks of the 80mm short drop (this is the big yes for me and the reason why I want to buy a new handlebar) and wide drop angle but I’m a bit scared that I’ll need use shifters in completely other downward position. Salsa seems more traditional with a good flare but has a deeper drop which I don’t like.

I love the shallow drops of the beacon (especially using esi grips between the shifters and bar ends instead of tape) but the angle of the shifters wrecked my wrists and i had to bail
In the same boat. Alternative option would be pnw the coast for an in between drop option between the two. 105mm drop and a more mild flare than the beacons. I’m running the pnws on one of my bikes and the cowchippers on the other. I love the cowchippers but just wish they had a shorter drop
I didn’t like the Woodchippers at all. Puts the levers at way too much angle. I used to like the Cowchippers best, but PNW Coast 48mm are my new preference.
