In preparation for my first bikepacking trip next year, I’m contemplating which bike to get.
I can’t afford THOUSANDS to spend on any one specific bike, but the Priority 600x would be nice.
That said, I can spent a few hundred to get started, and I found the Ozarks Trail 700c (image isn’t mine), perhaps this could be a great,…”beginner” bike to start with?
Otherwise, I already have panniers, racks, and some gear, thanks.

If you are reasonably handy when it comes to maintenance a Canyon can’t really be beaten value wise.
I have a Roadlite and haven’t had any issues bikepacking (added some gravel tires). There’s the Canyon Grizl which has mounts as well. Canyons can be pricey but the components they offer for the price of bike they offer them on cannot be beat.
If you are looking for a dealer based brand (depending on location) Marin has some pretty good value points as well to consider. Nicasio series, Four Corners, or Gestalt X10 would all be good options.
