I got my Canyon Neuron last October and since then have been making changes to make it the most capable and versatile bike it can be.

I want one single bike that I can be out on all day and cover many miles- smashing technical ascents and ripping the gnarliest of descents.

Here are a list of changes;

DMR Defy stem 35mm length, 31.8 clamping diameter
DMR Wingbar (cut down to 760)
DMR Deathgrips
DMR Vault pedals
DTSwiss EX1700 wheelset
Schwalbe Magic Mary addix super soft trail tyre (front)
(The Nobby Nic super ground addix speedgrip that the bike came with has been moved to the rear).
Saddle changed to Specialized Power due to personal preference.

The bike is a size medium and I am 173cm and 60kg.

The local trails are hilly forests, mostly around 300-400 meters of elevation and hardpack soil with occasional rocky sections. We get a solid dry season which can get rather dusty but soil consistency is mostly good.

Would there be any changes anyone else would consider (fork, shock, head angle etc)?

Has anyone also cost any of these changes to their Neuron and have any questions?

Apart from that, it took me a long time to get this bike and I guess I just wanted to write about it. I’m personally very happy I get to take it out every weekend and perhaps it occupies too large a portion of my brain right now.
