Last week I took a nice 42 mile round trip out to Shirley Chisholm State Park in NYC. It’s a park that was built on top of a decommissioned landfill and is now home to a bunch of native plants, birds, insects, and a collection of short but fun gravel trails. Definitely planning on returning. I also understand there are some other good gravel trails on Staten Island, but those’ll be tougher to get to. One day!
