In this episode, I look at three clips. Two are clearly engineered situations by content creators looking for trouble and one is an honest mistake.

hi everyone this is the first of three Clips we’re going to be looking at today and this one’s from chap on a bike we’ve seen a few of his Clips before what we’ve got in front of us is a two-way cycle Lane and a mini roundabout the driver of the white people carrier is clearly on the roundabout and aead of chap on a bike and anyone with any decent roadcraft would effectively stay in the position we see in this Freeze Frame until there is enough space to make some progress and possibly overtake but that’s not what happened space equals safety the cycle area coming to an end and Chap and a bike has puts in the worst possible position a classic space closer this should have been a merging turn the cyclist we see in front should have been first the driver of the white people carrier second and then chap on a bike should have tucked in behind just like we were at the beginning of the clip but Chap and a bike needs some footage to post on X so it doesn’t happen you going a bit close they now moan about space you’re right chap on a bike then proceeds to stop right in front of where this driver needs to turn left this combined with a patronizing interaction increases the chance for escalation and this is exactly what happens why do you beat your horn for you okay so are you all right then the driver nearly opens the door into another overtaking cyclist sorry man sorry you handed your horn is everything all right yeah no I just couldn’t get past you you were so close I thought you was going to oh no was overtaking him well thank you cuz now we blocked every oh you have uh actually not chap on a bike you’re sat in front of the junction just drive be careful when you’re going past um cyclist and stuff all right the world yeah not just be be careful all right excuse be careful because there’s loads of cyclus about who create incidents out of nothing the next clip that we’re going to look at is from Sylvio Diego from YouTube and the problems start with him straight lining this roundabout to go ahead the driver of this Mercedes has just potentially seeing Sylvio go to the inside of the roundabout why would you do that if you’re not overtaken anyone well the simple answer is if you’re turning right do you think it’s a possibility that the driver of this Mercedes thought the cyclist was going to turn right and that’s why they emerge there’s also a strong possibility of an a-pillar blind spot problem especially with the poor positioning from Sylvio I do think that was possibly some swearing bleeped out but right from the start I’d like to make it perfectly clear the driver of that Mercedes should have waited you give way to both lanes when you’re emerging on we roundabout but sylvio’s position definitely added to the confusion but instead of this incident ending there Sylvio is going to make something of it first of all a quick clean of the camera to make sure no footage is missed all good now Sylvio is about to make the situation worse and what is quite puzzling to me at this point is why the Mercedes starts to break I’m maybe thinking there could have been some gestures shown that weren’t shown on camera this is only an assumption now but why go and ride in this manner yes the Mercedes did pull out incorrectly but there was a contributing factor from the cyclist what happened at the roundabout could very well have been a mistake but this is purposeful now that’s one pointless overtake complet Ed and that triggers the Mercedes driver into another one both Road users are obviously suffering from musk INF front syndrome and it’s absolutely pathetic it’s playground stuff I haven’t seen many of sylvio’s Clips but honestly they’re really frustrating for me they’re quite similar to the dash cam channels we can see obviously people making situations out of nothing but he clearly thinks everyone else is to blame hopefully when he sees this video or if he sees this video he understands my points that he was a big contributing factor his riding’s poor and his attitudes even worse but his videos do show a good example of how not to behave you are onto our final clip which shares a fair few similarities with the previous one both Road users featured show a fair bit of must get INF front syndrome and it’s my rider who sent in the clip and the driver of this black golf to the right I know the clip is in greater London somewhere cuz I’ve just spotted one of the buses but I’m not sure exactly where already the driver of the golf do seem a little triggered about my viewer being in the middle of the lane in primary but they shouldn’t be there’s a Crossing and then a roundabout my viewers find where they are they’re also keeping up some good pace so they’re not holding up anyone the move around the bus up ahead seems to be carried out reasonably by both parties but then for some reason my viewer stays in Lane to the crossing up ah head is on red so it’s not affecting anyone now but there’s no real reason to be here and it’s honestly a mistake by my viewer because they’ve pick this Lane thinking on where they’re going to go at the roundabout a little touch further up my view is going ahead second exit so the left lane was the one to pick and this is the big difference with this final clip this I think is an honest mistake whereas the first two clips we saw were created purposefully the driver of the gulf is obviously not happy flashing the lights and then coming through on the left but unfortunately they’re not intelligent enough to realize it’s not held them up whatsoever they also probably know the road and know that they’re going to be stuck in a queue a little touch further ahead so there’s a few little points like people to take from this video we all suffer from must get INF front Syndrome from time to time but please do ask yourself whether it’s actually worth it try not to get triggered if someone does overtake and then suddenly has to slow in front of you cuz it actually doesn’t affect you that much either try and also resist the temptation to get payback it’s never worth it and my final point is this engineered events are way worse so Sylvia and chap on a bike get a grip keep safe everyone and stop doing a Jeremy

  1. The chap in the first clip must be from Cambridge, with that self entitled point proving attitude. It's common there. Never mind how he overtakes the other cyclist and puts himself in danger. Its everyone else problem not mine. I am in the right, it's MY right of way, Its MY road. MEMEMEMEMEMEME

  2. Last clip is in Woolwich. Second clip is in Gypsy Hill, London. Right near where I live and people (bikes and cars) straight line that roundabout all the time. I stick to the left hand lane when going straight ahead and people frequently try to over take me and cut in front, usually because they are pissed off with me for sticky to the 20mph limit when coming down the hill from Crystal Palace.

  3. Hi, Silvio Diego your 2nd video reviewed here…
2:37 You almost condone the guy pulling out … the lines on the floor means give way to incoming traffic, which is strange cause at 3:00 you concede that the driver should have given way regardless…

3:16 'quick clean of the camera'… this is clearly not true, I'm barely pressing the button to save the highlight

3:30 I made a gesture? this is only an assumption? I assume you're making this assumptions to get more controversy and more views…

You clearly have not seen many of my videos yet you make a judgement that they all show poor riding and how 'not to behave' ..

from the 13 hundred videos I have on my channel you chose this one in which I admitted that I should not have lost my cool…

You Ashley are the one with thousands of subscribers, so I guess you picked up this video for views.

  4. On the first clip the driver should have seen the first cyclist and been slowing to stop in order to give him priority across the junction.
The second clip Silvio took a straight line due to the wet road. How fast was the silver car going after the roundabout ? It certainly looks more than 20 mph

  5. I have to admit that I used to ride like Silvio when I was younger. Just had a massive chip on my shoulder. Most people grow out of it, sadly many who don't grow out of it choose to become dash cam drivers or cyclists.

I do find it odd how your comments on this video are all people complaining about 'cyclists' but your clips with drivers never cause people to complain about 'drivers', even though 'drivers' kill about 1000 times more people each year in the UK….

  6. Clip 2 – is it possible the Mercedes was actually just slowing down to 20 for the speed camera, rather than to antagonise? But then, as you say, seems triggered by the cyclist overtaking and suffers from must-get-infront-itis again.

  7. How far are these cycling incident channels willing go for views of their posts? No doubt they provoke situations, but whats next, actually employing a car driver and staging incidents completely.

  8. Nope, sorry I don't agree with the cyclist and white cat clip. The cyclist did nothing wrong, he was just going on his way and the car decided to include himself. Give cyclists space …time and understanding that they aren't killing the planet.

  9. Fcuk all clips with cyclists. You have to understand they aren't gas gusling cars and just trying to get to A to B. I don't care if you get frustrated with them, you do know fuel is running out.

  10. Just not a fan of escalating things on the road. I'm more inclined to apologize if anything (but try not to, liability and all) and then have a look at the footage with a calm mind later on. More than a few times I've found myself to be in the wrong when I looked at it later, but I think once you've doubled down by antagonizing the other party, it makes it very hard to see yourself in the wrong. Chaponabike is a nice enough guy but he's a straight up troll, he deliberately does things to wind people up, including lying. Silvio I don't know very well.

I wonder if in the third clip they were planning on jumping the red light at the pedestrian crossing and didn't want to get stuck behind the car there… but then had to stop because of the group of children.
That clip is in Woolwich btw: https://maps.app.goo.gl/MeRdtBJBVApkbMxW7

  11. Squeezes between the car and the other bike then complains about the space he put himself into… just be aware of what is around you! Beep deserved.

  12. They dont care. None of the rules they have to follow is being enforced and by the rules we all have to baby them. Of course they will take it all for granted and climb over our heads. Surprise surprise.

  13. Second driver probably slowed down because he realised the cyclist had a camera strapped to his helmet and didnt want to get points for speeding in the 20 zone

  14. In this hostile day and age, it just isn't worth antagonising drivers. If someone makes an error, regardless of whether it is perceived as intentional or not, it is best to just let it go. Getting involved, people have sadly been killed as the situation escalates.

  15. The first cyclist was bad but the driver was even worse and you didn't even criticise him at all. Even if the bad cyclist wasn't there he would have close passed the other cyclist and then left hooked him. Nearly dooring that other cyclist by stopping in the middle of the road and flinging the door open wasn't great either. And you talk about making the situation worse, what about getting out of the car. The driver could have just slowed down ready for his left turn and tutted to himself about the silly cyclist.

  16. I’m a cyclist (and driver) and in that first clip I think a decent driver (which I think most people are) could have seen the cyclist making a stupid move and fix thy cyclist’s mistake and give them room. It looks like the cyclist lost it because the driver didn’t fix the cyclist’s mistake like most people usually do for him. And because he’s probably done something like that so often, he thinks it’s usual for people to fix his mistakes.

  17. I'm going to be honest, as a cyclist the biggest sin this chaponabike did was pass another cyclist very close without ringing his bell to tell him he's there.

  18. 1st guy is a moron. He could have given way and let the driver go ahead. The 2nd guy was in the wrong lane, and the driver incorrectly assumed he was continuing on, nothing malicious about it and he was in no danger.

They both need to get (another) hobby.

  19. Idiot on a bike needs to remember the rule " Do NOT overtake when you , yourself , are being overtaken" , had he hit the white van , he would have been at fault and held responsible for any damage he did .

  20. Roundabout procedure : if you negotiate a roundabout in the outside ( right hand ) lane , you should exit in the outside ( right hand ) lane where the exit road has two lanes : this facilitates better traffic flow and it is quite correct for left turning traffic to proceed as long as they leave the other lane available to traffic exiting the roundabout when they were already in the outside lane . Changing lanes from right to left BEFORE you exit a roundabout is poor driving , you should ALWAYS exit in the same lane you negotiated the roundabout in .
