This was the scariest moment of my career, when I was in the air I just didn’t know what was really going to happen or what the outcome what going to be. Make sure you watch the full thing to find out, like and comment and subscribe for more stuff coming soon. Cheers

STATIC SHRED -E

okay hello everyone welcome back to another video on the channel this is something that I’ve been wanting to try and get going way for way over a year now um in Scotland it’s pretty rare to come across stuff that is similar terrain to like what you see in the tronar or say Red Bull Hardline in Wales red Hardline in Tasmania the terrain is just different than Scotland it’s Rolling Hills it’s very hard to find any sort of Cliff Edge but I feel like I found something it’s I’ve seen it before but I’ve never really like went to the top and had a look and obviously I’m after stuff that pushes me as a rider for me just riding down regular Trails is something that doesn’t necessarily get me going get my heart going um we all have something that you know riding style wise that makes us stoked and gets us gets us excited on riding bikes and for me doing gnarly stuff is something that I feel like fits in well with what I’m best at so I want to try and do that as much as I can so we are standing at the top of something which is rather large it’s going to take a bit of work so we’re stting at the top of it right now I do not have any measurements of it as of this second right now but I will it’s probably going to not look much on camera but I’ll show you anyway so so we have an open B Hills side here which is perfect for a runin and then we have like I don’t really know how to say how far down that is but it’s quite far like basically if you fou from there um it would not end well yeah you’d probably be not B so there’s a massive high risk with that but basically the plan is is to have a platform feature built here which is kind of is close to the edge of this cliff and then Landing down here which there’s a mound I can shelter it there’s a mound right there that you can see and going off I’d say it’s maybe 60t 65t out and then maybe the same height is but we’ll get measurements on it but but at the end of the day it is not a competition I’m not trying to make something gnarlier than that like those events are both totally different things to each other and they are crazy so you have to treat everything like that with respect I’m treating this with respect but this is up there with probably one of the craziest things that I have done on two wheels I’d say this is more gnarly than the um Utah thing that I did because that’s tried and tested and it’s a gnarly area out there whereas here is like there’s nothing gnarly really so um yeah we brought the wooden feature up with us that me and Ben built a while back so I’m probably going to stick it in place now just to see what it looks like and have a vision for what it could look like with a wooden platform wooden takeoff built on the end speed is not an issue we have basically can start anywhere could start there could start up there I could start straight here if I wanted straight running um and then this is the piece that me and Ben made months ago in Hope for we would come across something so it’s very sturdy um we will probably need one more nail in it or two more nails but we’ll carry it down and see how it looks I mean this is not really a fair representation of how it’s going to look but this is the thing that we’re sticking on the end this will tell us whether we need it raised up whether it’s to poin and down see like you know what I’m talking like this needs to be way more sturdy but obviously oh I’m not letting you R it that no into the ground why not uh where this is aing is to the blood to the left yeah so maybe more like we could just move the back end yeah I mean there’s a rock need to dig that downed this is just a BGE right now yeah yeah that’s looking more like it I can see like visual I can visualize it right now if that makes sense yeah yeah like not raised up anymore not down anymore you think that trajectory is fine like the angle of it you think raised up more no I don’t think so but I mean you you’re going to be the one that’s better judging so there we go I’m hiding this on there Alec is basically at the [Music] drop Alec is there drop is down here absolutely huge it looks massive from here so I guess I guess you i’ I’d really appreciate a like on the video you know yeah we always ask for it I ask I ask for it in every video just because it helps the channel the videos but this one is worth it huh share it video share it with your friends share it with your mom and dad um yeah this is going to be an early one and just in time before heading to Canada for two hour and all the crazy stuff that we get up to over there we do have a little bit to work a little bit of work to do here though to make it ridable especially that Landing but it looks good uh and then we’ll bring a tape measure up uh the whenever the next time the next clips you see we I’ll bring a tape measure up and we’ll measure all right we got Alec lowering the measuring TI we’re back up for another look we’re going to grab it and see what see what length so we’re just dragging it to where I’d like to land or where I should be landing right so 74 ft from where Alec is up there down to here I think where this ends is where I’ll need to land so we’re measuring about 70t you think 70 is acceptable 70t yeah 70t measurements I don’t know if you can see the boys they are like there m of the landing is like there there we go pretty crazy what your thought s um you’ve seen garly stuff I’m not sure about yeah it’s it’s it’s big it’s big very big actually tell you’re not a fan no fan for myself yeah I no not have even a thought of that to do for myself the consequences quite large so what we say we say 70t yeah yeah I’m scared almost fell off a BL Cliff cuz of the wind we’re going to go with 70ish feet and like say between 55 and 60 foot down it’s really hard to do the measurements on the way down but it’s it’s huge like CS I’m going to make you wo wo wo I don’t like this oh my God I tripped no no no no no no no no so it is another day we’re heading up to the line again just want to give a shout out to static bikes the e- rig that I’ve been using to get up back and forth from the site with some tools and uh yeah check them out I’ll leave a link in the description where you can have browse of their bikes made in Blackburn UK and uh yeah done a couple races on them good fun get the job done and uh yeah So the plan is today is to get try and get the run in sort of done as most as possibly can hopefully in a few days time it’s going to be ready to sort of start doing some run-ins and feel it out but uh yeah it’s thinking I’ve been thinking about it a little bit recently it’s it is a huge feature nothing to be messed around with always good I love pushing pushing my limits and bringing gnarly stuff and doing stuff that other people aren’t doing so let’s get up there all right so we’ve come up um again to get sort of a running started and we’ve managed to do pretty well I will be starting around here we kind of want it to be as smooth as it can be for Speed um and then yeah with good job in a little bit of time so right this is the progress we’ve made in about half an hour 40 minutes got the run in looking good it’s kind of a little bit unsanitized here over these rocks and then we’re on to making a bit of a smooth running for me across here we went for a little bit of a different strategy On The Run end so instead of it just being up to me to get the speed as far as pedaling and stuff it’s it’s always a good idea to if you can try and get make a feature or something to generate speed so we’re going for a little bit of a long and low kind of not a long and low just a skipper which I’m working on right now and Alex’s getting some dirt for so got the running up there and the plan is is to have we got some big rocks under here and then this kind of like fire break thing and the landing is going to be here looking at the Landing L is going to be the hardest part of all of this so um not looking forward to that work if I’m honest Okay so we’ve managed to get quite a bit of the running done it’s nearing completion sort of show you what we’ve done so far we have the runin up there little bit of drainage work on here little Skipper jump into the landing helmet uhoh this is the run in here so yeah we’ve basically cut in it it looks nice but there’s a lot of huge rocks here and obviously we’ve got the wood that we need to place in here but it’s definitely taking shape day number I don’t know what because I’ve lost track we’ve been working on this thing for quite a while now we have a landing behind us we’ve got Alec here grafting away as always yeah we kind of got a landing and it doesn’t look like but it looks way better than what it was probably 15 20 minutes ago yeah um so it’s just about it’s going to be a horsh ling but it’s just about trying to make it so when I land it’s not like a g out here which looks all right to be honest but yeah we’re planning on little bit of touch-up on that and then get some dirt and just sort of sprinkle it all over and stand on it a bit mix it in with the dirt that’s here the stones and stuff and then we’ll give it a day to sit but all right so we’ve dug our way into this Stone to get down to some sort of Base this is looking more like a landing now which is good right excuse me about a breath we got the landing starting to look like a landing as you can see looks not bad the monster is almost ready to be hit we’re just getting some dirt it’s very soft just packing the landing right now it definitely looks miles different to how it did before the landing sort of Zone that I’m wanting to land in which is right there is looking looking looking pretty good just tomorrow we have to do the takeoff and that’s it and then pretty much make sure everything’s dialed I feel good and then right as I was saying earlier we have hit the time frame of which the weather is [ __ ] um so good it’s going to be a waiting game until it’s ready everything is actually ready right now like managed to put in this and it’s very stable which is amazing um so everything’s ready to go it’s just the weather it’s drizzling right now and it’s windy and the valley over there is not looking good so we’re going to now take shelter and see if there’s a gap in the weather that is going to be best to hit it so that it’s not windy and not hammering it down with rain it’s probably the most nervous I’ve ever been for something clipped in few strong pedal stroke [Music] woo yeah ma’ come on oh brother okay oh no you good yeah I’m fine oh my excuse the shaky footage my hands can we need hold this actually while I talk I can’t hold it up yeah so as I was explaining earlier about like things something of that size that can go wrong it can go wrong so quickly and that was purely down to me bit of rer error I feel like I was I I just had a massive crash Bas I haven’t said that yet huge crash uh speed was not quite there I think if I was a mile an hour or so faster I would have made it so I came up short but I just landed in the Soft Stuff slightly I’ll insert some um clips of the like how big the compression was but basically I just like sunk into the bike I’ve got major actually now that the Pain’s sitting in I can’t til my head back very far cuz the back of my neck sore and then my ankle is my ankle’s actually okay I think it’s just like the bridge of my foot that I’ve like um hurt but then there you can see the piggy back in my shock which the biggie back on the shock can I see that came off there’s fluid everywhere not sure why that is that I mean the impact was so big but something was bound to happen I think everything else in the bike is like pretty decent um but I’m definitely sore and I feel like I need to get either my chest checked out or my spine and back checked out cuz I’m struggling to keep my own weight up right now but this is it wasn’t planned to to be like that but this I’ll take full responsibility for that like I built feature with my mates so shout out to Alec behind the camera and uh these things happen like I’m just lucky that I’m able to be up and about and like kind of sound and safe and sound really so um yeah my neck’s stiffening up so that’s me finish over and out drop a like in the video comment below send your get well wishes please and we will see you in Canada e e 1. Just him approaching the “jump” on the first run, where he hit the brakes you can tell that he was not gonna make it at any decent slope to continue driving down

  2. Fuckin gnarly bro!! As has been said that is a fuckin sketch landing but props for having the balls and being a psycho and just sending it haha!!

Glad youre not too too messed up! Wishing you a speedy recovery and warm welcome to my province of BC!! Hopefully you’re feeling good for whistler! If you make it across the ferry to the sunshine coast id gladly tip you off to some nasty shit. You’ve earned it with that one haha!

  3. Nobody signs up to be a crash test dummy. The assumption is always ace land perfect. You've got a pretty good average going. Keep ob shredding on!
