Helsinki is planning to construct a 200 meter bridge over the sea in the humen miltin area right next to the prime minister’s residence Canta this is part of the monkey nimi bicycle lane project aimed at avoiding the Steep incline on Soros aranan the project is expected to promote the use of bicycles potentially extending to ASU the design of the monkey nimi bicycle lane will be decided by the end of August with construction starting as early is 2026 the bridge is planned to be several dozen meters away from the rocky Edge to maintain the natural appearance of the area the project has sparked mixed opinions many Helsinki residents are concerned about the impact on the natural landscape however panan stated that building the bridge will make the area more attractive for walking and strolling with even a staircase for swimming from the bridge the bridge is expected to cost around €6 million with the total cost for the entire monkey neimi bicycle lane estimated at1 13 million this project aims to make it easier for the elderly and children who may struggle with cycling on steep slopes
