Looks decent to me. And lighter than a milk crate or similar.
Looks fine to me. Certainly no “uglier” than a milk-crate. Whatever gets the job done IMO. Could always spray paint it red or something too.
Is it large enough and sturdy enough for a successful grocery run?

My personal preference would be to have the basket level or nose high rather then tipping forward like that. Either adjust your rack or put a piece of 1x under the basket.
Just level it and you are gucci
