Unboxed my new Brompton yesterday, adjusted everything, hopped on and went grocery shopping.
I love everything about the bike!
However … when I got back to tidy away the boxes etc I discovered this piece. I can’t recall if it was on the bike or not.
Do I need it? What is it? Or is it simply fancy extruded plastic packing material that I can get rid of…? 🤔

That’s the saddle height insert. It allows you to just extend your seatpost to your desired height each time you unfold your bike, so no need to ‘estimate’ how much you need to extend to. The grooves on the insert allows you to cut to your desired length.
