Thirteen days ago I set off on this trip from Vienna. Now I am writing this post from a hotel room in Chelm, the first non-campsite accomodation of the trip. So far my bike has served me very well, not even a flat tire yet! The weather has been mixed so far, starting off with quite a few rainy days in a row with degrees dropping below 10°C to the sunny, 30°+ temperatures in eastern Poland right now. The plan for the next week is to continue following GreenVelo up to the border of Lithuania. At this point, my intentions become less clear. I could join EV11 through the eastern part of Lithuania, or follow the river Nemunas to the Baltic Sea. Does anyone have experience with cycling through Lituania and can recommend a route?
