I’ve had this old Schwinn beach cruiser frame forever and was inspired by a few IG posts for a #cheapbuildbikeoff. It didn’t end up cheap but I love it. My FIL gave me another old Schwinn mountain bike so I was hoping to use as many parts from that bike as possible. I took it to my LBS and they were happy to help figure out this weird project for me.

I’ve said this before, but shocks on cruiser frames are SO funny in the best way. Making something out of nothing, and giving the bike a SUPER unique geometry.
It’s always so nice when the LBS gets stoked on your project, too.

That’s pretty cool. I have an old Schwinn hornet frame That’s a good candidate for a clunking.
Any nickname ideas? I was thinking James Bondo or Primer Donna because the frame is Bondo and Primer.
