Scary. This is a PSA. _Usually_ does not happen on nice bikes like yours. I use grease on my axle threads, never come loose even when barely tight. On cheap bikes gotta loctite.

This is why I use a torque wrench on my axels if possible. Don’t want to take any chances that I didn’t do them up tight enough.

You would always check thru axels before you ride. They love to wiggle loose. Don’t use loctite.
