Hey there! I was hoping someone might be able to help me out on either some new tires, or a new wheelset and tire combo.
Ive been riding this 2018 salsa fargo rival with stock tires (27.5×3 inch tubeless wtb tires, sunringle duroc 50 mm wheel) and feel that they are slowing me down quite a bit for my personal riding style, which is currently about half hard pack gravel and half pavement.
I am hoping to get a setup that will make riding on pavement more enjoyable but still be able to get up a ton of gravel.
Im not finding much info on this. Am i going to need to switch over to some 29ers to accomplish a good all rounder ride? Is there a tire (maybe the schwalbe g ones or similar) that will fit my wheels and get me going faster on pavement? Are these tires really whats slowing me down?
I am also hoping to use the bike for future bikepacking on various terrain
I am not sure familiar on what i can fit on this bike in terms of tires and wheels and i appreciate any suggestions!!
