I know nothing about bikes but trying to sell this for my FIL. I just know that it was not cheap. How much should I list it for and what kind of info would the buyer want to know so I can put that on the listing too? Thanks!

It’s only worth about $300. Never photograph a bike from the left side, use the other side so people can see the components. Take closeup pics of the components and you won’t need to write anything.
A buyer would want to know a few things:
Size and width of the tires
The type of components (Shimano and the quality)
Age of the bike
Last time it was serviced
My guestimate, depending where you are located, will be between $250 and $350.
Depending your area and how honest you wanna be, list it for 400$ and take anything above 250
