I would swap for nature leather or black. That orange does not sit well with me.

    Beautiful bike though.

That’s the happiest color combo I’ve ever seen.. you can’t help but be in a good mood when you see. I’m usually not one for flashy colors but I like it!

  3. YEAH the combo looks great CUZ that is the gulf racing livery colors just off a shade or two. i would go brown or black because that bike is far from the gt40 of bikes.

Nice bike but I would class it up with a brooks and matching tape. If the budget it tight black is always good and easy to find good used saddles in black.

Keep it orange -save the $ u we’re going to spend and buy a rechargeable head light

  5. You elevated a boring old clunker into a unique fresh looking retro ride. Love it. The color combination makes it stand out. Wouldn’t change a thing.

I think it could look nice either way.

My only suggestion is rotate the bars back a little bit. The flat part of the drops should be level or pointed a little bit up. (edit: this means the BOTTOM of the bar)

I like the look of the Brooks saddles but I’d never buy one because leather.
    Stick with the orange seat.

  8. Maybe swap the saddle for something more neutral if you’re not feeling it but definitely keep the orange bar tape. That looks awesome!

If you’re finding it too bright, the saddle and bar tape will probably get darker as they age or get dirty, so nothing to worry about hehe

For now, think of them as an extra safety thing being bright and extra visible

I recently did a Peugeot restore with similar colors, natural leather saddle and tape but orange housing and pads. Looked great but so does yours
