Hello people!
Me and my gf are doing this route starting early August, I’m quite happy with the Switzerland part of the route (not in photo) but I am not sure about this part. Genoa as the destination is fixed, it’s just about how we get there. We would like to avoid large cities like Milan as we don’t enjoy it during a bike trip and we’ll visit it on the way back by train anyway.
Does anybody know of any “must sees” along the way, any scenic routes, any good places to camp (there’s a lot of national park included rn so might be difficult) or any recommendations in general that are in the vicinity?
We’re happy to adjust the tour and make small detours, but it shouldn’t be over 100km away.
Oh and we both have gravel bike setups with seat + handlebar bags, so off road is no problem, although it doesn’t have to be single trails.
Thank you guys so much in advance if you take the time to read and especially if you answer 🙂
Cheers Thimeson

Tour de France passed there a couple of days go and the section between Alessandria and Asti were just mind blowing. Check out the route and see if you can combine some parts of it.
