So, I went to a huge bike flea market with a mission: To get as best a road frame as possible with eyelets, under 300 euro, to make a Frankenstein commuter with fenders and front+back rack. I rode this gem, and it was absolute love even with the finicky non-clipless pedals and being 380. Now I am divided if this should be Frankensteined? It’s definitely been messed with, the front and rear brakes are different, the made in japan + Chromo stickers weretaken off. But the frame has zero rust and very few knicks. And embarrassing to say, it might be faster than my titanium race bike (though that has really heavy training wheel set). Should I Frankenstein the Ti instead? No eyelets, so it might be an issue…the Ti bike was built by a guy in Chicago known as J and his bike shop was called Tati. This was his first Ti build so its also historical. He was a big deal back in the day, but I hear he retired. Help.
