Carbon forks – do these look ok?

I purchased some exotic carbon forks from eBay (though sold as new, never used and in original packaging) a couple of years ago with the plan being to replace some suntour forks on an old Voodoo Bizango. Project was shelved, but yesterday I thought I'd do it so I got the carbon forks out of the shed (stored in original packaging).

The steerer doesn't look right to me but I thought I'd post here to check incase I'm being over critical?

I was going to email https://www.carboncycles.cc/ to ask their opinion, but I'm not sure what they'd say as I got them on the secondary market, but also if they said they were fine and the forks subsequently failed, they might leave themselves open to comeback ? I don't know, but thought I'd see what you guys say first off.
