Hi there, first ever post on Reddit!
I was riding as usual when out of nowhere I noticed that my dropper was coming up even when I was not holding the dropper lever.
(After pushing down the seat I am letting go of the lever in the video.)
Just looking to get an idea as to what’s causing the issue, and how I might be able to fix it?
Thanks!

Had similar issue, It would go up without weight and go down with me sitting on it and not even touch the lever. Mine was a cartridge issue and needed to replace it. It was a transx dropper post so easy to replace.
If there is barrel adjuster, try loosening it a bit. The cable may be too tight.
Pull the seatpost up a bit, it may be pressing against the actuator at the bottom.
The cable to the dropper post might have been pulled a little too much out of the frame or is caught on something. Which is causing the post trigger to be stuck in the drop position
Either the cable is too tight or your cartridge took a dump. Since it happened mid-ride, is it possible you snagged the dropper cable on something? If the cable housing gets pulled out of the frame a bit, it could cause the dropper to be constantly actuated.
So I would try the following:
1) push cable housing into the frame about 1/2 inch (if it will move at all)
2) loosen barrel adjuster
3) if 1 and 2 don’t work, remove seat post from frame and remove cable from post, and see if you still have the problem with the cable disconnected.
YouTube “reset dropper lever.” Likely a cable kink or bind so is always on. Counterintuitive at first – the kink or bind can be caused by or exacerbated by a loose/slacked cable that needs to be re-tensioned past what your barrel can do at lever.
I had this before and it was caused by grease clogging the actuator on the dropper post itself. It was a pretty new bike and just got a bit messy during install I guess.
