This happens after a ride when walking it into my office or apartment. Not sure what could be causing it. Owned the bike for 10 months, 1900 miles ridden. REI Co-op Gen 1.1 E bike.
All advice and help would be greatly appreciated!

Is this only after a ride?
Does it change when you grab your rear brake?
Have your brakes (specifically rear brake) felt differently or more squishy recently?
Did you even once change your brake pads? I highly suspect that they’re worn AF, pistons have fallen out and are causing metal on metal rub. They last approximately 500-700 miles, maybe less on an e-bike
Sounds like a brake issue – likely need to clean the rotors or get new pads. Use rubbing alcohol for the cleaning, but since you’ve only had it 10 months, it’s within the adjustment period offered by REI. Id recommend bringing it in to one of their shops.
