Just bought a Cannondale CAAD 8 and I noticed there is a dent on the bottom side of the top tube when I got home. I’m wondering if this is something I should be concerned about. I really appreciate your help!
Is this safe to ride? Just bought my first road bike and I noticed it has a dent.

Sorry, didnt read the description.
I’d ride it. Although it’s a pretty small dent I’d concentrate on that area when inspecting the frame for cracks, though.
Take it to a good mechanic to have a look over – if it’s got one dent then there could be other damage. Presuming this is second hand defo worth getting mechanic to look at it – don’t trust it. If it was brand new I’d suggest taking it straight back
I mean the aerodynamics are ruined 🙅🤷
Honestly speaking, a small dent like that where the metal is barely pinched will probably last the lifetime of the bike. It’s not like that location is carrying significant stress, if you dented a tube like this and flexed it slightly in a jig 100,000 times probably nothing would happen.
