I’ve been wanting to build a fixie for a while and came across this frame on Facebook Marketplace for free. It has the horizontal rear dropouts which i’ve been told to look for. It’s a 62mm frame and I’m about 5’11”-6’, is that too big?

i would tent to no, even if it is free. but yes this are the kind of dropouts from a road frame which will work for a fixed conversion.
– you would have to get a fork that will fit
– i assume you dont have the diameters
– sizing could be a bit too big for you?. and if you dont know which size you need i would at first do some test rides of comparable bikes instead of building this and then finding out it is too small/big
– cant tell fom picture if it has dents? looks worn out
but to have it said… the frame could do the job if you get the correct parts. find out yourself if this its worth the work and if there are maybe some other frames that are not that expensive and maybe come with a fork and headset, seatpost or bottom bracket.

Hard to tell, it looks like a few dents, but then again I’m not a materials or mechanical engineer. I would say that it is too large of a frame. For reference I am 6′ even or 182cm with a 34″ inseam (86cm). I ride a 58cm pre cursa with 100mm stem, zero set back seat post my seat is as far forward as it will go and 38cm dropbars. Hope that helps.
Nice frame but too big for you.
This is a French bike from the 1970s, you will not be able to find a fork or headset or stem or bottom bracket for it without a lot of work. The wheel size is probably 27” or 630mm meaning not 700c so wheels will look bad on it. The width at the dropouts is not 120mm so bending the frame narrower too. Way too much work dude
