Looking for budget part recommendations for the following components: brakes+rotors, crankset+chainring, tires (29”, preferably between 1.8-2.1, handlebars (is it really worth it to buy drop bars over my current 720mm xc bars?), grips (grips or wrap?), and possibly a more comfortable seat for long bikepacking trips. I am looking to begin building my old hardtail into a bikepacking/gravel/exploring/commuting bike and am looking for budget component recommendations.
I am a very capable mountain biker (enduro bike) but really want to build out a bike that will basically work for everything aside from enduro/trail riding, especially bikepacking, but am on a pretty tight budget.
