Hello!

Looking to cycle the southwest coast of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way, going South to North.

Thinking of either

a) starting in Killarney, biking to Kenmare (a brief North-to-South) and then doing a loop out to Valentia Island similar to this route: https://www.bikemap.net/en/r/10500626/ and then continue north

b) leaving from Killarney to the Dingle peninsula and then onward

c) if I have the time, both? But I have about 8 days for this section and don't want to rush.

What have been your experiences with these rides? I've been trying to read as much as possible, I've seen some folks warned away from the Ring of Kerry due to traffic this time of year.

Any tips on the best route from Killarney to Kenmare?

I am in reasonably good shape but at the beginning of my trip with a fully loaded touring bike, not ready for the massive climbs yet although I know I'm heading into very hilly territory. (I would likely do an out-and-back loop from Dingle and skip Conors Pass for the moment.)

Appreciate any tips, insight, or resources you have to share! Many thanks!
