So Retrogression won’t let me return Cinelli wand bars that I haven’t used or taken out of the package because the 2° sweep difference between how it was listed and how it shipped is completely not noticeable. I feel like the look between 5° and 7° is noticeable. If not looks then the reach has to be pretty different at the end of a 780 bar , right?

you bought something that’s not in spec = you should be able to return it. if you live in civilized country the company is legally obligated to accept a return
What does the rest of the statement say?
Most manufacturers have language about reserving the right to make changes to manufacturing specs.
You’re not crazy. They know nothing about geometry.
retrogression sux
Charge back, literal false advertising
2 degrees isn’t going to be noticeable on anything as short as handle bars. Retro-Gression can be annoyingly strict on returns, but they’re one of the only businesses in the US that are full fledged supporters and curators of alll things fixed gear.
Also, I’ve been to their store, and they’re pretty rad.
HAHA i read this and right away I knew it was retro. IMO they should of returned it. BUT having said that, they arent wrong. I would ask yourself if it makes a difference in how you ride.
btw retro is hands down the best fixed shop in the US, all my gear is from them.
F those nerds. You’re not crazy, and there is definitely a noticeable difference in 2*. Hell, I have noticed a difference in 1* of sweep.
Unfortunately, Retrogression is kind of a fuck ass site sometimes. They’re right, manufacturers change their spec all the time without warning, but it is the obligation of the retailer to back the products they sell, especially if they’re unable to provide an accurate representation of those products they’re selling online. Denying a refund for an unused product is just wild to me, the epitome of scummy sales practice.
I think you should file a dispute with your bank/cc company.
That said, if you rode the bars for a while, there is a high likelihood that you would get used to them, but there’s also a chance you won’t enjoy them. Again, f those nerds.
wtf how is this legal, the item is new. They should refund it if it’s in new condition regardless.
Nope you’re not crazy. I call bullshit – I can absolutely tell a difference in a deviation in specs like these.
Wow morons, defo push for a refund
