Well that’s a start I guess, but forget everything you know about bunny hops and carefully watch something like this, then look up more tutorials. https://youtu.be/ksXn9oETb3M?si=d_v73fZ2ogBwlFx4

Front wheel then back wheel. In that order ( unless specified). Lol
it will feel completely different than what you are currently doing FYI.

What he said and if you want to go higher bend your knees. As with jumping on the ground

I would first start by doing them outside

Lift the front as high as you can and utilize that momentum to lift the back. I think of it like an Ollie on a skateboard.

You hopped. Pull your front end up and then pop the back.
Maybe somewhere where you can carry a bit more speed. Also, it also helps to bunnyhop over something. Back in the day we would use a roll of newspaper and then progressively get bigger things to bunnyhop over.

Go higher

Put some air in your front tire it looks almost flat. I think about bunny hops in couple steps. Pull the bars up then push them forward and tuck your legs

You don’t want to think of it in terms of trying to lift the entire bike straight up. You want to think of it as sort of a wave. You pull the front up as high as you can within reason, then use that momentum to pick up the rear. When you go over an obstacle, it will be the same. It will kinda look like a horse jumping over an obstacle.

What you’re doing is the English bunny hop. Lean back arms outstretched lift front wheel, jump and push bars forward to level out. It’s like a rowing motion with the arms. Use the backward motion to lift the front wheel and not pull up with the arms.

Practice hoping as high as you can off the bike while stationary. Then use that principle of preloading by bending legs and snapping up. That initiates the pop and try to pull the bars up but not towards you

preload yourself buy squatting down, pull your body and bars upthen push the bars forward as you lift your feet up, use your feet to pull the pedals up, the pushing the bars foward is a game changer.

Pull up your handle bars first and then bring your legs up

First learn them properly, like first the front tire and then the back one. Two wheels at same time isnt a bunny hop, its just a jump.
Just keep praticing and youre gonna get it right

Front wheel lift then push forward scoop up back end(think of a jump squat with a dumbbell in weight training). Stack cereal boxes or poles and masking tape and push yourself to higher marks until you feel complacent with them.
