Hi everyone, i will resume this as much as I can, I have a carbon fork, at the moment I have 30MM of spacers below the stem, And 5mm above it for preload, I want to try going lower, Maybe 5-10mm, which would mean moving spacers from below the stem to above the stem, issue is, the expander plug would no longer reach both stem bolts as is supossed to by manufacturer, So.. ¿What are my choices here? Of course i dont want to cut the steerer tube before testing if that new height fits me, But also I dont want to run it with spacers above the stem and risk damaging the steerer tube

There are longer compression plugs on the market you could use if you’re not ready to chop it.
