    It’s way fatter than any flathead screwdriver I’ve ever seen and I’m leery of trying to go for it without proper equipment. Just trying to fix some standard crank wobble. Thanks!

    It is a standard plastic dust cap. The tool is a big ol flathead screw driver, or a coin about the size of a U.S. Quarter, the flat end of a metal ruler, etc. Anything that will fit into the slot will do, as it is not going to bond to the surface, and should be under 1nm torque (most just pop into the hole and are not actually screwed in).

     

    It is worth noting that when reassembling it, if you cracked or broke the dust cap uninstalling them, they are optional.
