Sharing some notes from a trip we’re on in case it’s helpful for others. Flew from DC through Brussels to Madrid with our Vincitas (Sightseer 3.5). We’re doing an open-jaw trip with lots of train rides so couldn’t use a hard case. Great experience so far – the garment bag seemed to offer enough protection (though we did spray paint “Fragile” on the sides and use a tennis ball and some foam insulation…doubt it did anything other than soothe any remaining anxiety but didn’t add much weight/bulk so seemed worth it). We use the strap as a pull for the bags when we’re wheeling through airports/train stations and that works well.

When we rode to/from the train station, we folded the garment bag and put it into the bottom of the Vincita, took off the wheels, wrapped the included strap around it, and then used 3/4 of [these](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CMSXCXV1?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) adjustable bungee cords – one around the top (attached to under saddle), one attached to each front side of the rear rack (comes up and around the mid-section of the bag), and a third that goes over top of the bag and attaches on either side of the rear rack. Have ridden for probably 10 km with this set up (bumps and curbs along the way) and no issues yet, seems sturdy. Obviously with the added weight we’re not going nearly as fast, but still managed to pass a fit rider with no luggage on a very steep hill in Barcelona (not so much a brag about my ability as I was about to keel over the whole time, more proud of my Brommie for doing so well on an incline with 40 pounds of stuff on her racks).

My partner got their new [Voyage Atlas Bag](https://vincita.cc/collections/brompton-bags/products/voyage-atlas-xl-bag) (I’ve been using my Borough Roll-Top and love it). Personally I don’t think I’d like the Voyage Atlas as much because of how much velcro there is, but he seems to like it – plenty of pockets, nice to have the bright orange lining to see stuff. It seems more than a liter smaller than my Borough but maybe it’s just an illusion. He did say he wishes the shoulder strap had a bit more cushion as it’s quite uncomfortable to carry, but that probably isn’t helped by 20 lbs of contents and keeping the frame in (we’re too lazy to remove). The side pockets seem a bit less functional than the Borough ones and the material doesn’t seem quite as nice as mine, but for the much cheaper price it seems like a great option.
