My plan was to build up an old Giant Coldrock for some weekend adventures. The frame was a bit rusty but nothing to worry about. More like a perfekt condition to not worry about scratches. But as I saw this Bianchi Grizzly (should be around 1994, maybe someone has more informations?), my plans changed immediately.
I think I won’t build up a classic comfortable adventure rig for bike packing and long touring. It’s gonna be more like a shiny and fast cx mtb for mostly gravel routes.

I will start to build it up when I received my crankset wrench 😅

The grizzlies are so hard to find
GRX won’t fit on 26″ MTB frames in my experience even with a 68mm BB shell – the chainstays for a 135mm rear triangle flare out too wide for the inner ring and the chainline will be off. After making this realization, I put a M9000 XTR crank on my last conversion.
