Hi Looking for some advice between 3 bikes.

Looking at the checkpoint ALR (last year with the 2x) or two MEC options. They all seem fairly comparable (shimano vs sram), but i don't see much about the MEC bikes on the market.

I currently have a Surly Bridge Club, which is great for slower trips, but looking for a faster gravel oriented bike to compliment the steel touring bike.

Obviously fit is king, but thoughts on paper? Sale price seems pretty nice all things considered.

  1. I saw those Mec bikes this weekend, they’re packed with excellent components but the frame is really lame looking. I’m still on the fence about picking one up but the price can’t be touched for a bike with those specs.
