Hello all,
I am planning a ~2 week bicycle touring trip in August 2024, starting and ending in Copenhagen (convenient for me as SFO has direct flights). After some initial research, it looks like the kattegattleden is a fantastic route up the west coast of Sweden to Gothenburg. However I hope to add a little more distance to this route. I was curious if anyone who has done this route or lives in the area could suggest some ideas. Some of my ideas consist of:
- A partial section of the Vänerleden, returning through Gothenburg
- Continuing to Oslo, ferrying back to Copenhagen
- Ferrying to Frederikshavn, returning to Copenhagen through Denmark
I am a strong cyclist and experienced camper, so I do not feel limited in my options. I just hope to experience the cultural and natural beauty of this area as much as possible. Thank you!
