  1. Bicycle Blue Book has a 2021 Sutra in “very good” condition going for about $950: https://www.bicyclebluebook.com/value-guide/2021%20Kona%20Sutra/?condition=VERY_GOOD

Maybe those upgrades are worth another $1000 to you, but they wouldn’t be even close to that for me. The Sutra is a good bike but this person is asking too much.

  2. Not sure about the pricing in US, but i’d say i will be willing to pay something about 600-700$ for that if it’s in a good condition, and keep both headlight and dynamo hub to yourself.
Maybe the owner really spent a ton of money on it, and have some ideas why, but i’d say it’s a set of weird parts assembled together, with a performance not better then a beginner class gravel.
Old MTB transmission with bar-end shifters, questionable brakes and road tires, combined with old-school steel frame? Why?

No. FB Marketplace trolls trying to sell at peak covid prices gets old, man.

This bike is overpriced but I think you might get different opinions over on r/biketouring

There’s a big difference between bikepacking people and bike touring people. I quite like this bike and would think the dynamo hub, built in lights and touring ready setup is a nice touch if that’s what you’re looking for. His description of items is a bit laughable though. we don’t care what you paid someone to build your wheels, we don’t care about your pedals because chances are they’re the wrong type. We don’t care about your “upgraded tires” that you paid too much for. They will wear out in less than a year. I’d tell him to keep the pedals and offer $1300 if it’s exactly what you’re looking for.

That light and hub is a fantastic combo. Those rims are killer as well, heavier but bullet proof. Nice to see disc brakes on a heavier rig. But I think if you knock the price down a touch you could have a bike that would last a long time.

  6. Decent upgrades, but it does not constitute the asking price. Bike market is still down. If this guy wants to make a real sale or anytime real soon that is. 1200-1500 seems more real.

  7. Shouldn’t it have a Brooks saddle and handlebar tape? Also, the rear rack (instead of front) is more characteristic of the Sutra SE.

Used bikes are generally worth about half their value imo and hold that value decently well over time. I would probably offer 1200 for this, no way he gets anywhere near 2k
