I got this bike and was thinking about getting the rack in the second photo but the description says "non disk brake" however after looking at the bike it seems like it has a mounting bracket welded on. they are the same brand MEC (cheap sale bike) my question is would it fit fine with the disk brake (mount facing out)

Yep, it will fit. You might have to stretch the rack out a bit to align with the mounting bolts but the disc won’t get in the way with its placement. A tip, the MEC rack doesn’t come with any mounting bolts for some reason so stop by the shop when you pick it up to grab some mounting bolts.
