I've had the Canyon grizl 8 for a few months now and really enjoying it but would like to spend some money on it. What are some suggested upgrades I could do?

I’d start with a second bottle cage. Summer is here!
If you don’t know what to upgrade, it doesn’t need an upgrade. Go ride it some more. It’ll come to you eventually.

Well – for me – I only upgrade when there’s something that I don’t like. So – is there anything that’s been bothering you about your ride? Start there.
But – in general – wheels and tires are always a good place to start. Having a spare set of wheels handy is always nice anyhow, so maybe get an upgraded wheelset with a different cassette/tire setup for a different kind of ride?

Tubeless 100%. I assume you’ve already done it!

Depends. What’s the groupset? Could be worth an upgrade.
Carbon wheels are always recommended. Lots of money for looks and weight savings, but if you wanna spend, that’s a way to go.

When I’m buying new things, I try to ask myself these 3 questions. With them, I feel like it guides me to what purchases to make.
1) Does it solve a specific problem I already have?
2) Will it help me have more fun? (If this is a work purchase, “does it help me make more money?”)
3) How do I only make this purchase once?
Hope that helps you find what you really need to change.

1st thing i dont see there is bike gps- rides are way more enjoyable when you can only focus on riding instead of looking for paths. (Gps on phone is annoying because of battery IMO) On top of that you can upload some cool routes from other bikers- this is game changer.
Another thing i would recommend is a good bike fitting if you feel your back/hands/neck/knees/anything too much during the ride.
After those two i would start thinking about new wheels.
Also.. I have 1:1 the same bike and love it!

A bike computer to follow routes and have a goto o return points in the middle of nowhere, good quality/fitting shoes gives you more gains than a pair of aero carbon wheels

If you have to ask what upgrades you need then the answer is none of them. Buy ‘upgrades’ to fix issues you are having with your bike that you can’t solve with fitness or bike handling. If you want more comfort or grip, try some larger tires. if you want to do longer days and climbing steep hills, maybe you need different gearing. Otherwise just ride the damn thing and stop worrying about the next thing

Seat, storage, and suspension.
I experimented with so many seats until finding the right one. The biggest mistake was assuming my sit bone width. Did a fitting and found the correct width.
Since I do many of my gravel rides solo, I make sure to bring everything I need for repairs. I use a small water bottle mounted on the underside of the down tube for storage.
Having suspension isn’t a must but it’s nice-to-have. I have a Specialized Diverge with the FutureShock up front. I added a Redshift seatpost to balance it out.

Don’t buy upgrades, just ride up grades.

A good set of carbon wheels make a hell of a difference!

Why is no one commenting on how insane this sight is?!

Tires are a big one. I love the G-One RS 45s for their very fast rolling, but they’re not as knobby. Converting to tubeless is a big one in my book if it fits your lifestyle.

Tires are the best upgrade by far; TPU inner tubes/tubeless with continental terraspeeds is my recommendation. Other than that maybe a flat handlebar for the optics
