Personally I despise roads with double yellow (no passing) lines because a fair % of drivers refuse to go in the other lane (afraid of getting a ticket) to go around cyclists, even when that lane is completely clear.
They’re more afraid of getting a ticket than they are concerned with your/my safety.
They’re also stupid beyond measure because we all know no cop would EVER cite them for doing something that improved rather than detracted from safety.

The descent from there into Dimple Dell will always be one of my favorites–it was my bread-and-butter ride growing up.

That’s awesome. If I could ride without ever getting tired, even just going in circles, I would go for some insane distance record.
