Hello everyone, a little contact with you to ask your opinions.

I started commuting by bike 4 years ago, on a fairly long commute of 30km out and 30km back.

(détail of the commute https://www.strava.com/routes/3240680027713194906)

First on a VTTAE, at the same time as taking up cycling again. It was a fairly heavy bike, 24kg, fully suspended and with 2.6 tyres, so clearly not ideal. But as my cycling evolved, two years ago I switched to a much lighter VTTAE, 17kg, all carbon, still fully suspended and with 2.4 tyres. Still not ideal, but better.

Finally, almost 1 year ago, I switched to an Orbea Vibe, still an electric bike but lighter, 15kg 'naked' and 17kg with the setup shown in the photo, I switched to 32mm conti 5000s and I'm starting to get really fast, averaging 30km/h on my commute.

That's where I need your opinions/feedback. As I become more and more fit and enjoy riding on the road more and more, I'm thinking of changing to a 'muscle' bike soon. My objectives / wishes with this change:

  • To have just one bike for my commutes and to set off on a long-distance adventure.

  • To be able to ride easily at an average speed of over 30km/h

  • A dynamic bike

  • Still be able to do my shopping (I'm on my own, so two panniers are enough for me)

Current setup : Orbea Vibe L with rack and bag – 17kg,5

My commute

Do you think that an allroad bike, weighing 8/9kg once equipped, (garvel?) would be a good candidate?

I have no experience with this type of bike. I don't have many dimensions but I do have some, so I'd like some feedback before taking the plunge.

Thanks in advance
