    Not really, no. I’d want those forces tugging at the frame itself, or by extension the seatpost. Not the rack.

    Why not just get one that goes on the rear axle? I’ve seen that done with Brommies in real life, though I never looked at it in detail. Bog standard kid trailer practice.

    One key tenet of engineering that especially amateurs all to often ignore is: never reinvent the wheel. Standard parts and solutions are almost always better than what you can come up with. Only build something custom if you absolutely have to.

  2. depend on what are pulling. the rear rack has 10kg max load and its stays are often reported broken but easily replaceable.

    i would go for seatpost mounted hitch or axle only, i’m afraid
