New to mountain biking, new to wrenching on them, not new to wrenching. Picked up a 2013 Niner EMD-9 for the wife. Got it for next to nothing so its worth putting a few bucks into it. One of the things Id like to do is a 1X conversion, it has a SRAM GX-1000 crankset https://www.sram.com/en/sram/models/fc-gx-1002-a1 and Id like to just slap a 30T raceface on there and was wondering if anybody can tell me if its as easy as that?
They both appear to be 104? I am assuming thats the bolt pattern?
A new cassette and derailleur may be in the works later on. It seems to have had the wheels changed Sun Ringle Charger TR, they any good?
