I'm new to this and just the other day I took the chain off my bike to clean it for the first time since buying the bike. I got it sorted out, put it back on, was very happy with myself and the today I learned that a lot of chains are directional and I have no idea if mine is fitted correctly now.
The bike is a Trek FX3 disc. Trek's spec sheet says the chain is a Shimano LG500, it's a 1×10 speed.
The chain has writing on both sides, and the quick links don't have arrows.

In the Service Instructions PDF it says there should be arrows on the quick links but there aren't on mine.

No, I believe it’s only from 11 speeds on. No arrows and the writing on both sides is another clue.
Shimano chains don’t say KMC on them but KMC chains do. As far as I know, KMC chains are not directional
KMC chains are not directional, shimano chains are. You have a KMC chain.
The chain isn’t directional, but quick links are. Yours is on correctly. Keep that in mind so you do it right next time too.
