Whichever bike I get, i would want to install a pannier rack over the rear wheel if it doesn't have one already.
I'm considering:
- This Ross bike on craigslist, for $195 https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bik/d/cambridge-ross-10-speed-commuter-road/7759397676.html
- This Panasonic bike on craigslist, for $120 https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bik/d/cambridge-panasonic-road-bike-for-sale/7756438367.html
- This Motobecane for $120, but I might try to negotiate it down since the shifters don't work so well. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1453628305527397/?ref=marketplace_profile&referral_code=undefined
What do you think? I would mainly use it for commuting, about 8-9 miles total each day, and I plan on getting a pannier rack for the bike. The Panasonic bike seemed a little small when I tested it out, but the Motobecane was a good size. I haven't seen the Ross bike yet. My reservations with Ross are also that I've heard iffy things about the company.
Not sure if links to the actual listings are allowed, but if so, I'll put them in a comment.

Links to the sale ad are both allowed and encouraged.
I can’t comment on these because I know nothing about antique bikes, but I wish you luck. It would be best if you can find something made this century.
