Hi guys. I have a specialized sirrus x 3.0. The wheels were stolen in front of the library during finals week. I like the bike but I paid $600 for it. Does it make sense to not want to spend that much on a wheelset?
Can you guys recommend a wheelset for me that gets me through city commuting and strong and reliable?
From my research I know it uses: disc rotors are 160mm front and rear, it uses quick release not thru axles, and the original tired are 42c in width.

Also my front brakes were cut. Is it hard to install the front brake lines again?
You can sell it, there definitely will be someone who needs this frame to his ‘new’ wheelset. New wheel set costs 100-300$ so if you sell your frame you can find 700 $ more and buy a new gravelbike for 1000$
That sucks dude. Why would they cut the brake lines?!
If you’ve no experience with hydraulics, go to your LBS. It should be a standard procedure for your LBS. They will need to be replaced, though.
For wheels, it’s best to look for a secondhand set that comes with rotors and tyres. Otherwise it won’t be easy to find something cheap. Where I live, you could go to Decathlon. Even then, the cheapest wheels without tyres and rotors will cost you $150,-
