so I have been riding fixed gear for 5 months and love it. However the one thing which I just can't seem to get right is my chain tension and rear wheel alignment. I always find once I'm happy with the wheel and the tension the next time I have a look the wheel is either a little out of line or there either too much or too little slack in the chain. anyway here's a video of the drivetrain any suggestion on with tension would be greatly appreciated.

  1. 1) when putting the wheel on use one hand to keep the wheel centered and the other to tighten one of the bolts. switch hands. repeat. keeping that thing in line is better for you riding, your tires, and your entire drivetrain.

    2) remove a chain link or two. You might just have too much chain! this is usually the answer to chain slack.

    3) make sure your wheel is trued up and your tire is seated correctly if you’re seeing your wheel is out of line.

P.s. try taking a video of the wheel from directly behind.

I always use my knees to keep the wheel centered on the down tube and tighten the nuts with both hands simultaneously with even pressure.
