A relatively easy lane between Harlow and Chelmsford in Essex. Just over a kilometre in length with an unmodified dirt surface for all its length apart from the the last 100 metres.
It runs through a strip wood and there was a few small overhanging twigs and branches. It was quite passable in November but i imagine it gets quite overgrown in the Summer.

From this lane it is a short distance to:

welcome to the byway Nomad my name is Tony Ferrari and thank you for watching my [Music] videos this is North Lane or more officially Morton byway number one it’s um a relatively Pleasant Lane quite wide by comparison with many around here today we’re riding it from west to east it starts from har Road a Tarmac Road near the village of Morton and as you can see it continues through a stripwood for all of its length pretty much as you can see um it’s a dirt surface unmodified um but actually seems to hold up pretty well this was after some fairly wet weather and you can see there’s no standing water or boggy sections along here as you can see there’s a few bits of uh vegetation branches hanging into the lane not much of a problem but of course this was in November I’d expect it to get pretty overgrown in the summer so you should take that into account as you come to the end of the lane which is just over a kilometer in length it does start to narrow down a bit and the surfice gets a bit rutted um but this is only for a couple hundred meters so it’s not a huge issue and you should be able to get through this okay then finally it becomes an unsealed metal surface largely because of the new Housing Development to your right and this gives access to some of the houses it ends um at the junction with a Tac road called Mings Hill we’re still pretty close to the Village of Morton thanks for watching the video if you liked it please remember to subscribe hit that Bell so that you get notifications when new videos come up and um have a look at the website www. byway nomad. co.uk and um maybe see you out on the trail someday this is the byway Nomad thanks for watching
