Hi,

I made a rear rack for my bike today of out a garden climbing plant thing for vines. I had nothing else to do and was stuck at home with thunderstorms. [Here is a gallery](https://imgur.com/a/QblU5Ip). The piece connecting to the seat is pretty flimsy, but is strong when pulled backwards. Will blue loctite all. It takes 4 screws to take off or put on. The middle brace is welded, but I went ahead a put a bolt encase it gives later. I plan on painting it black. I threw a 50 lb car strut on there and it barely flexed at all.

What to I do for the top platform which goes with the theme of a Schwinn Taff 29″? Looking for something other than wood. I don’t have any sheet metal etc. Not looking to buy anything. I got some yarn I could weave or something. Planning on making some tie downs using my 3D printer and bolting them around.

Wouldn’t really recommend this from salvaged metal after having done it. Very messy. Lots of grinding and frustration. 😀 I plan on going dumpster diving (excuse for exercise) and using it to help bring back the loot.
