900 km or thereabouts from the source of the Danube to Vienna is not massive compared to what some people post here but the trip is worth sharing. I have not been on a bike trip over 35 years or so and loved every second though not so much the severe floods along the way which resulted in big hills as opposed to a cycle along the river on flat T ground 🤪. I took a tent shared between us and 2 panniers each. Might reduce to 1 next time. Especially the German part has been nothing short of stunning with campsites around 10quid or so per person. Very lucky perhaps but I also met nothing but friendliness and kindness. Now chilling in Vienna. Had planned to go on to Bratislava but decided against it as it is meltingly hot
