Put a new shift cable in, internally routed, and it moves the cranks when down shifting. My hypothesis is that is dragging on the BB and once the chain is on the whole system friction will mean this isn't a problem, but is this likely to cause any issues down the line? I used a cable liner to route it over the old cable, so in theory it's in the same spot.
Not really a massive issue but it is quite a funny quirk, just wondering if anyone has experienced this before and if it's even a problem? Thanks!

It’s going to ultimately cut through your bb spindle, you need to correct this.
