Rode my first imperial century & double metric this weekend!

211km along the old border of the Roman empire, to raise money to let us build a school in Sierra Leone this summer. Riding time was okay with 9hr 15m, but total time was over 13hrs with stops and 5(!) ferry crossings. Had a few friendly chats on the road, but it was fairly quiet due to bad weather. About 2/3rds of the way was crosswinds or headwinds. Had a few full on tailwind sections, which were amazing (~35kph @130W). First 1,5hr were pooring rain, my girlfriend was really cold, but fortunately enough I had extra armwarmers with me which I didn't need, which helped her out a lot. We rode from the sea to the German border, where my parents & dog were waiting for us to finish 🙂
