Tyre is almost new Bontrage SE6 run as rear in a tubeless setup with rim protector insert. The damage is about 1cm on both the outside and inside.
Is this repairable with a patch or beyond saving? I want to run the tyre tubless with the rim protector like before.

I just repaired something similar with a gum strip from a car tire repair kit and is holding air well

Should work with a bigger patch. I have a tire with almost as big a cut and 6 total patches in it and it’s fine.

Repair it from the inside with a patch. Zero issues.

Easy fix, just get it really clean and dry before applying the patch. In a pinch I have even used Gorilla tape and it lasted the life of the tire with no problem.

I’d just glue down a tube patch to the inside of the tire and call it a day

Yeah it is salvageable. I use a heavy patch and vulcanizing fluid from the auto parts store. Brake cleaner inside the tire around the gash to get rid of sealant. Be patient with the vulcanizing fluid, it needs to skin over. Then apply the patch. Use something like a beer can to give the tire it’s inflated shape. Clamp it or tie a string around it to hold the shape. Let it sit for a few hours.

Just did this on mine yesterday. Glue a patch on the inside. Use some of the rubber cement they give you in the patch kit to put over the slash on the outside. Super glue works too!

Just a normal patch with liquid cement should do fine.

Think you should be good, I know in one of GMBN videos they had a sort of rubber crazy glue for the tire, as for the tube a patch would do fine.

when i have a large cut like that, i stitch it up using kevlar fishing line and a needle, and then patch it from the inside with a tube patch. keeps it from bulging out when inflated as it tends to do with a large hole and just the patch.
